crunch, crunch.
November 2- (still playing catch up) went to let Shadow out before my baby got up.... heard the oddest sound.. sounded like rain although the sun was out... as I stepped further outside to observe I realized the first frost had come.
The leaves were still wet and on the trees so they were frozen and falling creating this noise.
It was mesmerizing. I ran in to grab my camera.... pictures do the sound no justice and sorry, I can't figure out how to upload video :)

fall fun
someday I will catch up on this... but until then... more fall fun
I just HAD to get that shirt! A Flannel onesie?
can it be any cuter??
it all happens so fast, one day your hanging pool side the next you are raking up leaves...
and putting on wool hats instead of bucket hats...
next Thursday is thanksgiving! isn't that crazy?
it's their first :)
can't wait to have a family holiday,
the four of us will have a good time.
We told him we were gonna puree some turkey for him.. ha ha.
Seems like more I try to keep up with my blog the more it gets away from me...
it is half way through the month & I already have over 300 photos in my November file,
maybe that explains how I can't keep up!

the f-ing zoos closed ray...
OK, so the zoo wasn't closed but for some reason anyone mentions the zoo and I think of Jerry Mcguire:)
and speaking of babies...
it is always so captivating to watch how animals interact with one another... how mommas are so gentle with their babies...
this was by far the most amazing part of the day, this gorilla just stared
All the way to the zoo I was super STOKED! I have memories of going there as a VERY young child & they are so vivid that it gave me goosebumps to be bringing my baby there...
granted, the chances of him remembering this trip are pretty slim....and speaking of babies...

and my baby stared right back.
the sea lions are definetly a big part of my childhood memory of the zoo. I can still remember my golden colored shirt I was allowed to pick out with a sea lion on it. Every time I wore it my dad mimicked them.
I loved it and can remember trying to wear that shirt often.
there really is too much to see in one day.
so much to take in.
the scenery is just as amazing.
I also have a memory of my late uncle charlie walking through the zoo with us.
I hope his spirit tagged along this trip too.
it's a long ride home, at least someone got to take advantage of it :)
